This Snug Pub Makes the Best Irish Coffee in Indy

Welcome to One Good Thing, a weekly(ish) series where I write about one really good thing that I think you should know about.

What’s the One Good Thing? The Irish coffee from Snug, a cozy Irish pub in Irvington.

Two Irish coffees (plus a Guinness) at Snug.

Snug’s exterior is cute, and the Irish flag beckons you to come in.

What makes it so good? When you go out to eat or drink somewhere, the food and drink, of course, is important. But it’s not the only thing that matters in the experience you get at that spot. The vibes, the look, the people, the service… all of that matters. A lot.

The Snug is checking all of those boxes, plus they make Irish coffees that taste great.

Look, I’m not going to pretend like I watched the bartender carefully craft my coffee or something. I didn’t see them make it. I have no idea what care or love went into my drink, but it tastes darn good. They use Shuv Coffee, a local coffee roaster, which makes this boozy drink taste even better to me.

They combine Bushmills whiskey, coffee, and vanilla-infused cream to make the drink. The little sprinkle of nutmeg on top adds a special touch, plus great scent and flavor. Best enjoyed with friends and family.

P.S. We’re officially only a month out from St. Paddy’s Day, so start making your game plan.

Where can I get it? Snug, 210 S Audubon Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46219
