Here’s Where to Find the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies in Indianapolis
The hunt for a delicious chocolate chip cookie is almost futile. Why? Because almost nothing beats a fresh, warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie that’s just come from your own oven.
Almost.
If you’re more of a baked goods appreciator than a baker, this list is for you. Yes, it’s possible to find great chocolate chip cookies in Indy — in fact, they’re all over town.
Amelia’s Bread
I know, I know — bread is in their name. But Amelia’s is slinging some of the best chocolate chip cookies in the city. Big chocolate discs dot the surface of their brown butter chocolate chip cookies, always topped with flaky sea salt. Get them fresh in the mornings, or buy one and warm it up at home. Chef’s kiss.

Leviathan Bakehouse
It’s tempting to order something a little fancier than a classic chocolate chip when you visit Leviathan. After all, they’ve got incredible eclairs, danishes, cakes, and pastries in their case. But don’t let them distract you from the task at hand: trying their incredible, thick, gooey chocolate chip cookies.
Leviathan Bakehouse’s chocolate chunk cookie is, well, chunky. It’s thicker than your average CCC, also uses brown butter (like any good chocolate chip cookie does), and is even nut free. Those chocolate chunks go a long way in upping the Gooeyness Factor™ of the cookie.
Leviathan Bakehouse, 1101 N College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46202
Pots & Pans Pie Co.
Salty sweet lovers, this one’s for you. Pots & Pans isn’t baking your typical chocolate chip cookie — they’re selling shortbread versions of the classic, combining two classic cookie styles into one world-rocking bite. This cookie is salty, deeply chocolatey from the dark chocolate, and has a beautifully crisp edge thanks to the cookies’ final roll in sugar before baking.
Pots & Pans Pie Co., 4915 N College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46205
The Cavity Factory
“Hey, Barbie!”
That’s what you’ll say when you see The Cavity Factory’s bright pink cookie truck. Their mega-sized cookies are stuffed with all kinds of rotating ingredients, from frosted animal crackers to M&Ms to s’mores and more, but we’re here for the classic chocolate chip. These cookies are soft, sweet, and THICK. (Be prepared to wait in line for them — they’ve got a big following!)
Follow The Cavity Factory on Instagram for updates on where they’re popping up.
Please & Thank You
Somehow Please & Thank You’s chocolate chip cookies are crispy AND gooey at the same time. I’m not sure what sorcery they’ve added to their cookie batter, but I’m here for it. The best part is that, because P&TY is a coffee shop at heart, you can pick up your favorite latte or drip coffee to enjoy alongside your cookie.
Please & Thank You, 849 Massachusetts Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46204
4 Birds Bakery
These cookies are like your childhood favorite, but grown up. 4 Birds' chocolate chip cookie is crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle, thick enough to retain moisture and stay chewy long after they’ve been baked. But don’t worry, they won’t last very long.
4 Birds Bakery, 607 Fulton St, Indianapolis, IN 46202
Indy Dough
If you can get your hands on an Indy Dough chocolate chip cookie, DO IT. These are special cookies, only available at pop ups and farmers markets in Indianapolis. Their CCCs are made with brown butter, a blend of different flours, dark chocolate, flaky salt, and sourdough bread crumbs to add texture. Follow them on Instagram for updates.
